Madhu Neotia

Madhu Neotia is a prolific exponent of contemporary art and has lent her name to several initiatives undertaken by leading art and design practitioners in the country. It is her love for Indian design traditions that inspired Madhu to conceive The India Story as a platform to showcase the creative expressions from different parts of India. She is also the Chairperson of the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur - a role that allows her to hone her passion for art and design further.

Abhilasha Sethia

Abhilasha Sethia has been an ardent gourmand, a passion which she was initiated into by her mother. She has expressed this love of food in a co-authored a book, ‘Healthy Cooking for Patients with Kidney Ailments’. She has been actively involved in the workings of the Ladies Study Group, and presided over it in 2016-17. An avid reader and passionate traveller, Abhilasha inspires the TIS with her creative energy.

Swapan Seth began his career at 19, at JWT, Kolkata and won his first Cannes Award at the age of 22. At 24, he was the youngest Creative Director at Clarion. At 28 he started his own agency, Equus. Seth is one of the largest private art collectors in the country and was instrumental in the creation of ‘Artiger’, India's only Government-propelled art initiative involving tiger conservation and public art. A voracious reader, prolific writer, film enthusiast and music buff, Seth lives in Gurgaon with his wife, two sons and two dogs, Jagger and Wazza.

Shantanu Moitra is a National award-winning Bollywood composer known for his unique melodies in iconic films like Parineeta, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, P. K., and Pink. Aside from his passion for music, Shantanu also nurtures his interest in photography and travel. Shantanu is committed to archiving and preserving folk music in India and firmly believes that a great nation is measured by the welfare of its art and artists.

Swarup Dutta

Swarup Dutta is trained from NIFT and Nottingham Trent University. He returned to NIFT as a faculty member and has been the Dean of Indian Council of Crafts and Design. His love for conceptual fashion and communication led him to work with designers like Anamika Khanna and Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Swarup’s interdisciplinary take on design nurtured him as a scenographer, lending his name to various events and public spaces in the city. Photography remains his primary passion as he uses the medium to challenge conventions of image making in the country with his latest solo exhibition, ‘Kaw’.

Kalli Purie is the Group Editorial Director (Broadcast & New Media) of the India Today Group. A graduate from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy & Economics, she is better recognized in the industry for her vision to synergize India Today Group’s excellence in conventional journalism with the reach and innovations of new media. A serial entrepreneur at heart, she brings a rich experience in running a wide range of media properties from television channels, apps, digital newspaper, to championing world class events, and devising a social media strategy for the Group.

Sumant Jayakrishnan

Sumant Jayakrishnan

Sumant Jayakrishnan is a scenographer, designer, and installation artist. Sumant first trained at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and eventually in London, France and NYU. He has been a recipient of the Charles Wallace India Trust Arts Award (1994), the Sanskriti Award (2001) and the Fulbright Arts Fellowship (2002). His works have been celebrated in Deepa Mehta’s film, “Water”, Tim Supple’s play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” alongside in shows designed for the likes of Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Bulgari and Lady Gaga.

Anuradha Mahindra is celebrated as the youngest editor-publishers of her time. Her fashion magazine, Verve, celebrates the modern woman across verticals of fashion, lifestyle and photography. Verve is also an honorary member of Altagamma, the Italian Luxury Council. She is also on the Advisory Council of ARTISANS, a group dedicated to the empowerment of indigenous artisans. Anuradha is married to the industrialist Anand Mahindra and has two daughters, who live and work in New York.

Siddharth Kasliwal is from the iconic Gem Palace family of Jaipur, which dates back to 1923. Siddharth has been tutored in the finesse of Gem Palace craftsmanship by his father, Late Munnu Kasliwal. He upholds the lineage of the Kasliwal tradition as he shuttles between Jaipur, Mumbai and New York, showcasing the quintessential Mughal jewellery from the house of Gem Palace before a global audience. An avid traveller and skilled golfer, Siddharth remains proudly Indian and an essentially global citizen.

Aparajita Jain founded Seven Art in 2005 to support and showcase young artists from India on an international stage. In 2012 she endeared a controlling interest in Nature Morte, a leading contemporary art gallery. Aparajita has been instrumental in starting Saath Saath Arts, a non-profit organisation to create art awareness in India. She has been on the board of Tate’s South Asian Acquisition Committee, a founding member of the Harvard South Asia Institute Arts Program, an advisory member of ICCR and listed among the 50 icons of Indian Art by Platform.

Indrani Dasgupta Paul has been a leading model for over 15 years with endorsements that include Lakme, Allen Solly, De Beers, Blender’s Pride, Canon and Taj Group of Hotels. She has straddled print, television and the ramp with equal ease and is among the most recognisable faces from the fraternity. Her elegant carriage holds her in a league of her own. Indrani has undertaken mentorship roles in beauty pageants. She has made Calcutta home following her marriage with Karan Paul. In her free time, she pursues the perfect cup of tea.

Neha Kasliwal Arya has a degree in Applied Arts and Advance Design from the prestigious Parsons School of Design + Design Thinking from MIT, a highly coveted apprenticeship with Oscar de la Renta and close involvement in Gem Palace's permanent exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Hailing from a family that consists of nine generations of jewellery designers, her passion for all-things-design and innate calibre has propelled her from one milestone to the next. She is the founder of ARTSEMBLE, a label that offers bespoke lifestyle products, accessories, fashion and home decor.
