A decade of creativity, culture and craft - The India Story celebrated its milestone tenth edition with the theme of Directions.
Rooted in the symbolic power of TEN – this year unfolded as a multi-sensory journey through
ten curated corridors of experiences.
Each direction embodied a dimension of creativity that The India Story has championed over the years – from contemporary craft and fashion to art, installations, culinary excellence and cultural dialogue.
More than an exhibition, it became an immersive tapestry of India’s creative evolution – an exploration not just of where we’ve been, but of where we are headed.
OUR DEBUT PUBLICATION
From an Era Bygone, The India Story’s debut publication, was unveiled on the opening night—a striking visual ode to India’s heirloom textiles. Curated by Madhu Neotia, the coffee table book presents rare handcrafted ensembles and disappearing craft forms, bridging past legacies with future imaginations.
THE INDIA STORY AWARDS
Keeping up with the theme of celebrating a decade of creativity, The India Story Awards honoured excellence across design, art, fashion, craft, and culture. Curated by an esteemed jury comprising of Tarun Tahiliani, Sangita Jindal, Shobhana Bhartia, Mamta Singhania, Rochelle Pinto, Radhika Raje, Shefalee Vasudev, Suvir Saran, Rudra Chatterjee and Swapan Seth - the awards spotlighted trailblazers who have shaped India’s creative landscape with vision and craft.

Thoughtfully selected external showcases – from the vibrant aesthetics of Oasis and Pili Taxi, to artisanal narratives by IICD Jaipur and the Kutch Edit by Shrujan LLDC – brought new creative voices into the fold.
